Monday Five

Monday Five is a weekly segment in the Ongaku!Project WordPress where we present five random O!P members with a question. Their answers to that question will be posted here each Monday. It’s a unique chance to get to know the O!P members a bit better!

Apologies for the delay this week; holiday rush and all that! Happy holidays!

Q: It’s winter! What’s your favorite thing to do in the snow or ice?

Ahrjay: I am one of those people who haven’t seen or experienced snow because I’ve been living in tropical countries ever since I was born. The only “snow” that I know of is the one that you can find in your freezer. lol. I know it sucks, but I do plan of going somewhere where it snows, preferably Russia or Japan. I may be a “snow virgin” but I do know what fun things you can do with it. I want to try and have a snowball fight with someone. It looks fun, and I’m sure that I’m going to enjoy it. Hehehe. .

Nosomi: Snow is rare where I live, so everything about it feels magical for me : snowy landscapes, snowflakes falling on the ground and transforming the familiar places, catching the white petals that disappear instantaneously in my hand or trying to eat them, making snowballs and throwing them at people, walking in a smoothy cotton-white mantle that sinks at each step or letting myself drop in it….
It’s like i’m back in childhood and can touch the innocence of living things, both nature and human beings. It’s even more beautiful and moving to sense the calm, the hugeness and the emptiness of such a picture.

Kacchin: I used to live in Connecticut – and there is a lot of snow there~! I love to go sledding and make snow angels, of course, but my favorite winter-time activity is definitely ice-skating. I feel so graceful! ^-^

tenkei: Well, we don’t get a lot of snow or ice down here in the high desert of southern California (and I don’t go up to the mountains…), so I’ve only experience snow a couple of times while visiting my father back east. I never got to do a lot in it lol, we just went for some hikes in the mountains and stuff. I’ve always wanted to have one of those epic full on snow ball fights though, with fortifications and armies lol. I’ve also always wanted to go ice skating! When I was little and we lived in Georgia, my mom said I used to sneak out of our apartment and go play in the snow, wearing naught but my diaper!

Rei-chan: These last couple of days I’ve gotten to experience for the first time in my life what a winter with snow and ice is like, and as beautiful as it is, I can’t say I like playing in the cold yet XD Just from the first cold winds I caught a cold, so I haven’t gotten much chance to play with snow… But! I’m STILL very much looking forward to TRYING to build a snowman when the temperature and health allow me to go out again. I tried making snowballs, but the snow was too “dry” at the time and it just crumbled XD But if I do manage to make a snowman, I’m thinking that might become my favorite thing to do in the snow ^o^
